It has been raining here all week. Not that I'm complaining - we clearly need the rain - if for no other reason than to wash some of the spring allergens down the storm drains. In any case, I feel as though blue on blue is pretty apt for this kind of weather (an why you've seen it a few times this week already).
I picked up this dress at Marshall's on sale for $20. I think it's the perfect 'Spring in New England' dress. It's bright, interesting enough to be worn on its own, but still thick enough that you're not shivering on those deceptively sunny days. The patterning in the fabric is what really won me over, though the price tag didn't hurt. It was on double sale which usually means there is something wrong with the garment. I did a careful inspection at the store and the only defect I could find was an extra snap closure on the inside. Perhaps this dress originally came with another piece? In any case, I decided it's a defect I can live with.
In other news, my camera battery died this morning and, as the fates would have it, I forgot to plug my spare. Oops. I did manage to get some decent phone photos (woohoo!) and gave you a
strip show look at the whole outfit.
